Tiny worlds. Quiet magic.

Hi, I’m Dink,

I’m an artist and a mum.I make drawings, prints and small detailed pieces inspired by the quiet magic in everyday life.Living with M.E., Fibromyalgia and AuDHD has taught me to slow down and notice things most people rush past. That perspective shapes everything I make.My work is about small moments of calm, curiosity and connection.

Magic is in the details

I work mainly in miniature, with most pieces measuring around 1–2 inches. I enjoy the focus that small work requires — every mark matters. My main medium is black ink, using a technique I call micro mono pointillism. I build images slowly by layering thousands of faint dots with nearly dried-out pens.I also work with watercolour and gouache when a piece needs colour or different textures. Most of my work is done on smooth Bristol or watercolour paper, which holds the fine marks well. The process is slow and deliberate. Simple tools, a lot of patience, and a stubborn love of making things.

A Home for Gentle Magic

My work explores quiet magic, small moments of joy, and the beauty that still exists in difficult times. Most pieces are built slowly, dot by dot, using a technique I call micro mono pointillism. The process is patient and deliberate, using almost dried-out pens to build images from thousands of faint marks.I’m drawn to small details and overlooked moments — the kinds of things that remind us to pause and look a little closer at the world around us.If my work gives someone a moment of calm, curiosity, or wonder, then it’s doing exactly what it’s meant to do.

I.STOP.4.MAGIC
Sketchbook Project

I.STOP.4.MAGIC is a free sketchbook project bringing creativity, connection, and a little bit of everyday magic to South Wales (and beyond). We give away free sketchbook kits, packed with creative prompts, and mindful inspiration—no cost, no catch, just a gentle invitation to make something.Whether you’re an artist, a scribbler, or someone who hasn’t drawn since school, these free art supplies are here to help you slow down, tune in, and rediscover your spark. This project was born from a simple belief: that everyone deserves a moment of calm, a chance to create, and a reminder that magic still exists—not in grand spells, but in sketchbook pages, quiet moments, and shared joy.Keep your eyes peeled—sketchbooks are being tucked away in beautiful public places across South Wales: on benches, in gardens, by the sea. If you spot one, it’s yours.Find one. Take it home. Make some magic.

This little poster goes with every sketchbook I leave behind. It’s your sign to breathe, make something, and maybe remember what magic feels like.

Found a sketchbook? We’d love to hear about it and see what kind of magic you’ve made—if you feel comfortable sharing. Every story, doodle, or spark of creativity helps grow this little ripple of joy.

A peek at some of my work

Every piece you’ll find here was created slowly — dot by dot, breath by breath — with stubborn hope and quiet magic stitched into every mark. These aren’t just pictures.
They’re tiny worlds, stitched together in the soft spaces between survival, wonder, and belonging.
Take your time.
Wander a little.
You’re welcome here.

Other tiny worlds

Alongside my ink and painting work, I occasionally create miniature papercuts — intricate pieces hand-cut from a single sheet of paper.Just like my drawings, these are built slowly and patiently, one careful movement at a time. They’re another way I explore the idea that small, deliberate acts can create spaces of wonder, stillness, and joy. Each papercut is a quiet celebration of fragility, resilience, and the magic found in tiny details.I used to sell my papercut designs, but these days I just make them for joy. If you’d like to try one yourself, I’m happy to share a free printable template — just drop me a message and I’ll email it over. No shop, no pressure, just a quiet gift if you feel like making something lovely.
